Restoration 1974/78 FJ40

February 19, 2007- Today this Cruiser was delivered to Cruiser Solutions from Massachusetts. It arrives here with the request that Cruiser Solutions get the Cruiser's engine, driveline, and brakes working once again. This is a broad interpretation of the work to be done. It has a 1974 frame and driveline, but a 1978 body tub with a few 1974 parts mixed in. These combined parts, from various years, work well together. The Cruiser has been sitting inside for many many years and will require a great deal of mechanical work to get it up and running. We will start by doing a compression test to understand the over all condition of the engine. We will take it from there. Overall the Cruisers's body and frame are in good condition. The customer has a long list of parts that he knows he will need/want, so watch as Cruiser Solutions brings this old Cruiser back to life from it's long deep sleep.
